Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said that his country stands by Iraq to "restore its historical status," expressing his country's "desire to continue the process of cooperation with Iraq."
He added in his speech during the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, that "Saudi Arabia intends to move forward to work on opening new horizons with Iraq and support the activation of electrical interconnection projects with Iraq."
Ibn Farhan indicated that "his country will spare no effort to support Iraq's economic and development march."
