     Today, Monday, the Chinese Customs Administration announced that Iraqi oil exports to the 32 independent Chinese refineries will almost halve during the year 2022.
    In a statistic seen by Al-Iqtisad News, the administration showed that "Iraq's oil exports to independent Chinese refineries rose to 12.738 million metric tons, or the equivalent (92.987 million barrels) or the equivalent of (7.748 million barrels per month), up by 45.3% from a year ago. 2021, in which exports amounted to 8.767 million metric tons, or the equivalent of (63.999 million barrels), or the equivalent of (5.333 million barrels per month).
    She added, "Iraq ranked fifth in oil exports to independent Chinese refineries during the year 2022, with Malaysia coming first with exports amounting to 46.466 million metric tons, followed by Russia with exports amounting to 30.682 million metric tons, followed by Saudi Arabia with exports amounting to 21.831 million metric tons, followed by the UAE fifth with exports amounting to 21.378." million metric tons,” indicating that “Oman ranked sixth with exports amounting to 1.790 million metric tons.”
    And she indicated that "independent Chinese refineries decreased their import of crude oil during the year 2022, to reach 173.225 million metric tons, down by 2.3% from 2021, when their import of crude oil amounted to 177.244 million metric tons."
    Last December, it decreased by 33.4% to reach 1.401 million metric tons, or the equivalent (10.227 million barrels), compared to November 2022, which amounted to 2.104 million metric tons, or the equivalent (15.359 million barrels). However, it increased by 159.9%. Compared to the same month of last year 2021, in which oil exports to China amounted to 539 thousand tons, or the equivalent (3.934 million barrels). 
    She added, "Iraq ranked fifth among the top ten oil exporters to independent Chinese refineries after it was ranked fourth last November," noting that "Iraq came after Malaysia, which came first by exporting 7.430 million tons, most of which were Of Iranian barrels, Russia came second with exports of 3.135 million tons, Saudi Arabia came third with exports of 2.260 million tons, and then the UAE came fourth with exports of 2.152 million tons.
    She added that Oman came sixth with exports of 524 thousand tons, then Brazil came seventh with exports of 522 thousand tons, Kuwait came eighth with exports amounting to 470 thousand tons, and Angola came ninth with exports of 332 thousand tons, and then the United Kingdom came tenth with exports amounting to 280 thousand tons.
    Independent Chinese refineries imported 19.116 million tons of crude in December, an increase of 12.2% over last November.
