    Dana Gas announced today, Wednesday, that cash payments received from Egypt and the Kurdistan region of Iraq amounted to more than $300 million during the year 2022.
    The company said in a statement today that it obtained 1.16 billion dirhams, equivalent to 318 million dollars, during the year 2022, as the payments received in Egypt and the Kurdistan region of Iraq amounted to 311 million dirhams and 854 million dirhams, respectively, with a total value of payments of 1.165 billion dirhams, including Equivalent to 318 million dollars.
    In its report on its financial results for the year 2022, the company stated that its due payments increased by the end of December 31, 2022, at 110 million dirhams, equivalent to $30 million in Egypt, and 235 million dirhams, equivalent to $64 million in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
    And its due payments witnessed an increase on an annual basis in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as a result of the delay in paying the specified date, while the current economic situation in Egypt has resulted in difficulty in transferring dollars abroad.
    It indicated that its investments will be in line with the collections of its payments received and the availability of hard currency, and it will take all appropriate measures to collect all overdue receivables as soon as possible.
    The profits of Dana Gas decreased by 42 percent in 2022 due to the recording of exceptional losses resulting from the decline in the value of some of its properties.
    Its profits amounted to 667 million dirhams ($181.6 million) by the end of 2022, compared to profits of 1.156 billion dirhams during the same period in 2021.
    Dana Gas is a private regional company for the production of natural gas in the Middle East. It was established in December 2005 and is listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange. The company has exploration and production activities in Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, with proven and potential reserves of more than one billion barrels of oil equivalent. I finish
