    On Thursday, the Parliamentary Education Committee discussed, during its hosting of the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis al-Jubouri, contracting with educational and administrative graduates, and disbursing financial grants to students.

    The media office of the first vice-chairman of the committee, Mahmoud Al-Qaisi, said in a statement that “NAS” received a copy of, (February 23, 2023), that “the Parliamentary Education Committee hosted the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, accompanied by the administrative agent of the ministry, Falah Al-Qaisi, and the scientific agent. Adel Al-Busaisi, Advisor to the Ministry, Safaa Al-Jabri, Director General of Supervision, Hakim Zaili, Assistant Director General of Assessment and Examinations, Nima Harbi, and Rapporteur of the Permanent Committee for Examinations, Riyad Qassem Muhammad, to discuss many issues of the educational file in the country.  
      
    And he explained, "The meeting dealt with several issues related to the education sector in the country, on top of which is the activation of the teacher protection law, the problems facing Iraq due to the lack of school buildings, the double schools in which students are crowded, the repair and restoration of the existing ones, and breaking the momentum in the double and triple shifts." .  
      
    He added, "Among the issues that were discussed was the issue of years of waiting and approval, and communication with the State Council to resolve the issue of ages, in its last session, as well as touching on the budget of the Ministry of Education allocated for this year and how to use it to address the problems of the educational process, as well as contracting with educational graduates." And administrators, and the disbursement of financial grants to students, according to the law enacted by the Iraqi parliament, as well as with regard to confirming the peace and construction course supervisors and resolving their issue and other issues.  
      
    The statement stressed, "Working on setting timetables to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the government program with regard to the education sector, in order to improve its reality and overcome the setbacks it experienced during the past years."
