Today, Monday, the Ministerial Council of the Economy issued directives related to the payment of installments for residential complexes and the development of the industrial sector.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said, in a statement, a copy of which Mawazine News received, that "Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein chaired the eighth meeting of the Ministerial Council for Economy, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, the Ministers of Trade, Agriculture, Industry, Labor and Social Affairs, and the Secretary-General. Council of Ministers, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, and Adviser to the Prime Minister for Legal Affairs.
Al-Sahaf added, "The council hosted Ibrahim Al-Baghdadi, head of the Iraqi Economic Council, to discuss the issue of paying installments for investment vertical housing complexes by citizens in Iraqi dinars."
The Council stressed "the necessity of adhering to this decision, provided that the Central Bank of Iraq compensates investors in dollars and at the official rate, and the Council agreed on the necessity of continuous communication between investors in this sector and the Central Bank for the purpose of paying investors' needs in dollar currency."
Al-Sahhaf continued, "The council also hosted Adel Akab, head of the Federation of Iraqi Industries, and completed discussions on the development of the Iraqi industrial private sector, and took many decisions that contribute to the advancement of this important sector, including the adoption of the market value for real estate valuation instead of the estimation value carried out by the real estate registration and tax departments." This value is proven even when selling, as well as facilitating the participation of the private sector in international conferences and exhibitions, in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce.
Al-Sahhaf pointed out that "the council discussed the economic issues on its agenda and took many economic decisions regarding them."
