[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The independent Kurdish politician, Mahmoud Othman, warned against approving the amendment of the provincial and district council elections law without agreement with the Sadrist movement and the independent forces.
Othman said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The parliament approved less than half of the paragraphs to amend the election law last week, in the presence of 171 deputies, which is a small number," noting: " The Sadrist movement and independent representatives do not agree to amend the election law, they are about 70 deputies, and therefore this matter could cause problems if it is approved without taking their opinion into account.
And he stressed: “The fact that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, prevented ten of the most important leadership figures in the movement from traveling to discuss special matters and because there is a necessity during the coming period, warns that something will happen soon and the occurrence of political problems soon.”
And the Kurdish politician said: “The withdrawal of the Sadrist movement's representatives from parliament was a mistake, given that their survival in Parliament, and their alliance with some other political forces and independent representatives, constitute a great force and opposition within the dome of Parliament .”
