    Baghdad - Nas
On Friday, the economist and professor of economics at the University of Basra, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, revealed an agreement that will be approved soon in Parliament and will cost Iraq annual losses estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars.

Al-Marsoumi said in a post, followed by "NAS", (April 28, 2023), that "the agreement to avoid double taxation between Iraq and Kuwait, which will be ratified soon in Parliament, means that the profits of Kuwaiti companies operating in Iraq, such as Zain, Kuwait Energy, Qualitynet and others, will not be subject to the law." The taxes are in Iraq and they will pay their taxes in Kuwait.”

He explained, "Which means annual losses for Iraq estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars, which will open the way for other countries to conclude such agreements that contradict the Sudanese government program that aims to increase non-oil revenues to 20% within 3 years."
