Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani attributed, on Saturday, the cause of the water crisis to the random and aggressive policy adopted by the defunct regime against the upstream countries, stressing that the government placed the water file and the effects of scarcity and climate change on top of its priorities.
Al-Sudani said in a speech during his participation in the third Baghdad International Water Conference, which was followed by Al-Maalouma, that “the water file has become sensitive and important in all countries of the world, and that the hostile behavior of the Dictatorial regime with neighboring countries is the most important cause of water.
