Today, Monday, the Central Bank of Iraq directed banks to reduce foreign exchange commission fees.
A document obtained by (Baghdad Today) stated that "the Central Bank of Iraq instructs all banks to reduce commissions for transferring foreign currencies, - to publish the percentages of these commissions on the official websites of the banks."
The document clarified that “the transfer commission is intended for the FX exchange commission that is imposed when paying or paying in a currency other than the currency of the account or card.”
