    The Council of Ministers held its twenty-third regular session, headed by the Council's President, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, while it issued a number of decisions.

    Al-Sudani's media office said in a statement that the latter "presided over the twenty-third regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which they discussed the general conditions of the country."

    The statement added, "The session dealt with the most important files related to vital issues in the economic, service and other aspects, in addition to deliberating the files on the agenda and taking the necessary decisions in their regard."

    And in support of the Iraqi sports fans, and the football tournaments that are of special interest to the public, the Prime Minister directed the free broadcast of all matches of the West Asian Championship under the age of 23, which Iraq will host during the month of June.

    With regard to the rights of the various components and spectra, "the Prime Minister directed the Federal Service Council to expedite the procedures related to the implementation of a previous decision of the Council of Ministers in which it obligated all ministries, and entities not associated with a ministry, to replace job grades for the movement of owners from the Iraqi spectrum of different minorities, with replacements.” Of the children of the same component.

And in confirmation of the government's

    directive Relying on alternative energy, “the Council of Ministers approved a draft law regulating renewable energy, which was audited by the State Council, and referred to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of the constitution, taking into account the notes of the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.”

    And the statement continued, "The Council approved a set of recommendations that included the following:

    The Cabinet approved the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the opening of a Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the province of Najaf, and the reopening of a Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in the Pakistani city of Karachi, based on on Foreign Service Law No. (45) of 2008, and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1963.

    On the occasion of World Environment Day, corresponding to June 5, 2023, and in confirmation of the government's escalating approach to increasing the momentum of environmental and climate action, as an important priority in the government program, and with the support and guidance of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Environment launched a strategy to reduce environmental pollution, which included immediate measures and projects. And the future is feasible and achieves the strategic objectives of protecting air, water and soil quality, controlling chemical, radioactive and biological pollution, optimizing waste management, turning to renewable energy and reducing control of emissions from the energy and industry sectors, in addition to strengthening the institutional, legal and regulatory framework and adopting a participatory approach in implementation. Including the private sector and civil society organizations, and all efforts aimed at reducing environmental pollution.[/rtl]
