    The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired today, Wednesday, a regular session of the Ministerial Council for National Security.
    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool Abdullah, said in a statement received by Al-Mutalaa Agency, "The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces chaired today a regular session of the Ministerial Council for National Security, during which developments in the security situation in the country were discussed. And the progress made by the security services, in terms of fighting the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, and confronting organized crime and drug dealers.
    Rasool added, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, at the outset of the session, referred to the ninth anniversary of the blessed jihad fatwa issued by the supreme authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, and the establishment of the Popular Mobilization Forces, praising the heroism of the people of the crowd in confronting the threat of terrorism, and the great sacrifices they made from for the unity of Iraq.
    And he stated, "Al-Sudani briefly reviewed his recent visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, its dimensions in the security and economic fields, and the results achieved that are in the interest of Iraq and its people. in an optimal manner and dealing carefully and accurately with its vocabulary, in a way that does not cause waste or loss of public money.
    And he continued, "The council discussed a number of topics on the agenda, most notably what is related to unifying the government's effort to manage crises and disasters, as the recommendations submitted by the National Operations Center in this regard were approved, and the file of extremist religious movements and their effects on society and ways to address them were discussed. and make the necessary recommendations in this regard. 
    He pointed out, "The council also discussed the file of intended and unintended acts of vandalism and fires that are taking place in some government buildings, and the need to strengthen precautionary measures to secure government facilities and work to protect infrastructure was emphasized."
