    Information / special.
Member of the House of Representatives, Zainab Jumaa, considered today, Tuesday, that the passing of the general amnesty law “achieves gains” for some political forces in the provincial elections, and while she confirmed that its approval must be “conditional,” she stressed the need to close the doors of terrorism.
Jumaa said in an interview with the information agency, "The approval of the general amnesty law under the dome of Parliament must be conditional and more precise than the laws that preceded it."
Jumaa stressed, "The need to close all doors to those who want to return to terrorism, sectarianism, and obstructing community life."
The member of the House of Representatives explained that "passing the law will achieve gains for some in the provincial council elections scheduled to be held at the end of this year."
A member of the House of Representatives, Thaer Makhaif, had confirmed, earlier, the existence of political parties seeking to re-try some figures accused of terrorism or to reconsider the verdict issued against them. We need a general amnesty law.
Warnings continue from various political circles against adopting the general amnesty law, which some parties considered as a law in order to trade in the blood of martyrs and release murderers and criminals from prisons.
The general amnesty law returns to the political arena, once again, which still occupies the minds of some political parties in order to achieve personal desires or release criminals whose hands have been stained with the blood of innocent Iraqis, at a time when political parties have ruled out passing or legislating such a law in parliament. /25 QR
