Al-Saadi told Al-Maalouma, "The rise in prices in residential investment complexes led to a significant increase in real estate prices in the capital, Baghdad, as prices witnessed a frightening jump, and in some areas of the capital, they more than doubled."
He added that there is an urgent need for the government to expedite the start of building the residential cities that it announced and open the door for registration at reasonable prices.
And he indicated that "the best solution is to enter the state as a competitor to the private sector, and thus provide an opportunity for low-income people to obtain housing units and at the same time contribute to opening new cities outside the overcrowded centers as well as contribute to creating job opportunities and stimulating the movement of the private sector." ended 25 n
