    Today, Thursday, the Summit Center for Strategic Studies accused Turkey of exerting pressure on Iraq on many issues in exchange for resuming oil exports and releasing Iraq’s water quotas, while stressing that the country needs to deal decisively in the negotiations with Ankara.
    The director of the center, Haider Arab, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “Iraq has many cards that must be used to end Turkey’s hegemony and its commitment to the file of cutting Iraq’s water quotas and resuming oil exports,” noting that “the country’s foreign policy has differed from before, and it can Finding alternatives if it is not possible to reach an agreement with Ankara.”
    He continued, "Turkey is suffering from a weak economy and the decline in the value of the lira against the dollar, and this will make the latter not risk trade with Iraq," pointing out that "the country needs to deal decisively in the negotiations with Ankara."
    Regarding the details of the negotiations with Turkey, Arabs stressed, “Turkey is putting pressure on Iraq on many issues in exchange for resuming oil exports and releasing Iraq’s water quotas,” adding that “the volume of trade exchange with Ankara has reached more than 20 billion dollars annually.”
    In an interview with the Maalouma Agency, a member of the House of Representatives, Ali Turki, accused the Kurdistan government of tyranny and imposing its will in the file of resuming oil exports through Turkey, while he stressed that the region supports Ankara by setting impossible conditions to prevent the resumption of oil exports through the port of Ceyhan.
