Independent MP Kazem Al-Touki confirmed, on Wednesday, that Al-Halbousi’s relations with the American side and some other parties may lead to conflicts within the provinces with a Sunni majority, especially since the dismissal file resulted from tensions within the Sunni component and problems between the Sunni parties.

Al-Touki told Al-Maalouma, “The Federal Court’s decision must be implemented by everyone, as it said its word regarding the lawsuit filed against Al-Halbousi, despite the passage of a lot of time, but it said its final word.”
He added, "There are disagreements within the Sunni component and between the provinces with a Sunni majority, and tensions are likely to occur between the political parties in the aforementioned component, and it may reach the stage of threatening civil peace."
He stated, "Al-Halbousi has relations with the American side and some other parties, as the next stage may be fraught with political problems and tensions in addition to the problems that will occur within the Sunni component, especially since the file of Al-Halbousi's dismissal is not the result of the moment."
