    Today, Saturday (December 23, 2023), Professor of Economics at Diyala University, Mahdi Salih Dowai, identified economic optimistic factors in 2024, while noting that Iraq’s foreign policy regarding the monetary bloc has met with satisfaction with the US Federal Reserve.
    Douai told "Baghdad Today", "During the follow-up of Iraqi economic affairs, we have an optimistic outlook for the year 2024 based on several points, including the integration of some economic constants with regard to the budget that was approved for 3 years, which kept it away from controversy and price fluctuations, and gave flexibility and comfort to the economy and planning directly." Not to mention allocating good proportions to investment budgets, which are the highest compared to previous years, especially since the latter provide job opportunities and move markets.”
    He added, "The completion of holding provincial council elections for the first time after 10 years will give another strength to the economic scene and push many of the postponed projects to return, not to mention the increase in the regulatory system. This gives greater strength to the economic dimension, in addition to the fact that Iraq's foreign policy with regard to the monetary bloc has found satisfaction among people." "This is a positive indicator in multiple directions."
    He pointed out that "the three factors will create positive optimism about the situation of the Iraqi economy in 2024 and ensure recovery, especially since there are multiple areas to move important pieces through investment budgets."
