Today, Monday (January 15, 2024), the Ministry of Finance announced that it will continue to make the third issuance (reconstruction bonds) available for sale to citizens until January 30, 2024.
The Ministry of Finance said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “in implementation of the paragraphs of the government program related to strengthening the development and investment aspects represented by the reconstruction and construction movement, in addition to developing financial and monetary policies and providing opportunities for citizens to contribute to the overall economic activity through investment in bonds, the Ministry announces the continuation of making (bonds) available.” Al-Emaar) The third edition is for sale to citizens until January 30, 2024.
The statement added, "The new issuance, worth 2 trillion Iraqi dinars, is negotiable in the Iraq Stock Exchange and will be available in the form of two denominations, the first at a price of 500,000 dinars, with an annual interest of 6%, for a period of two years, and the second at a price of (1,000,000) million." Dinar, with an annual interest rate of 8% for 4 years.
She explained that “the purchase and trading of the bonds offered are exempt from taxes according to what is stated in the General Federal Budget Law No. 13 of 2023,” noting that “these bonds are issued with a guarantee from the Ministry of Finance, and the bond can be purchased by submitting an application to one of the official banks approved and registered with the Central Bank.”
In its statement, the Ministry called on "investors and citizens to take advantage of the offer and take the initiative to benefit from this investment opportunity."
On Friday (January 5, 2024), the Ministry of Finance announced the launch of the third issue of bonds worth two trillion dinars.
A Finance statement received by “Baghdad Today” stated that “the third bonds were issued under the name of reconstruction bonds for an amount of two trillion dinars, based on Budget Law No. 13 for the years (2023 - 2024 - 2025) for the period from December 31, 2023, until December 30, 2024.” .
He explained, "The categories offered for these bonds were divided into a bond of 500 thousand Iraqi dinars with an annual interest of 6% for a period of two years, and a bond of one million dinars with an annual interest of 8% for a period of four years."
