The Service and Engineering Effort Team completed its work in 53 areas deprived of services, within 12 municipal departments in Baghdad during the past year.
The head of the team, Jaber Al-Hassani, said in a statement to “Al-Sabah”: The tasks of the team, which was formed in November 2022, revolve around addressing the service situation in areas that suffer from a lack of services in the municipal sectors, water, electricity, sewerage, schools, health, and the environment, in addition to schools and electricity.
He revealed that the team completed its tasks in 53 deprived areas in Baghdad within 12 municipal departments, indicating that these areas suffer from poor services provided to them, especially since many of them are agricultural, new and not covered by services, and a number of projects were implemented in them that contribute to advancing services in those areas.
Al-Hassani stated that his team will soon begin its work in the governorates of Dhi Qar and Basra after forming a special team for each of them, as ten areas have been identified in Dhi Qar, five in its center and the same number within its districts and suburbs, while four areas have been identified in Basra as a first stage and include maintenance work and extension of water and sewage networks. Sanitary and street cladding works and furnishing them with lighting.
