Today, Thursday, the National Investment Authority confirmed the government’s seriousness in adopting a policy of developing the private sector and developing projects in vital sectors.
A statement by the Commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated, “The Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Haider Muhammad Makkiya, discussed during his meeting with the Spanish Ambassador to Baghdad, Pedro Martinez, the development of prospects for bilateral relations and cooperation.”
The head of the National Investment Commission stressed, “The government is serious about adopting a policy of developing the private sector and developing investment projects in vital sectors,” indicating that “The National Commission is keen to activate investment cooperation with international and Spanish companies.”
For his part, the Spanish Ambassador expressed his "thanks to the Chairman of the Commission," noting "the importance of the success of the economic relationship between Iraq and Spain, and preparing the ground for launching joint work programs in the investment projects sector."
