    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, stressed the importance of continuing the effective dialogue between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region to resolve problems and overcome challenges, during his meeting with the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani.

    The Media Department of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that the meeting dealt with the general situation in the country and its developments, especially the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.

    The President of the Republic - according to the statement - expressed the importance of the appropriate solution that had been reached for the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, stressing the necessity of investing in the important achievement achieved to continue the effective dialogue between the federal government and the regional government to resolve the remaining outstanding issues in accordance with the constitution and the law, and to adhere to the terms of the political agreement that The government was formed on its basis in order to reach satisfactory understandings that guarantee the rights of all citizens, including the citizens of the region, and spare them from any other consequences that burden them. He praised the patience and wisdom of the Kurdish citizens and their endurance of difficult and complex circumstances that directly affected their living conditions.



    Rashid also stressed the importance of completing the necessary preparations to hold the Kurdistan Regional elections, with the participation of all political parties in the region, to ensure their integrity and transparency, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the citizens of Kurdistan and their exercise of their democratic right to choose their representatives, appreciating the role of the President of the Region, Nechirvan Barzani, in finding solutions to problems and strengthening the relationship between the federal government and the regional government. .

    He pointed out the importance of continuing the effective dialogue between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region as the only path that leads to resolving problems, overcoming challenges, and taking into account the interests of all citizens.

    In turn, the President of the Kurdistan Region confirmed - according to the statement - that reaching a solution to the issue of the salaries of the region’s employees and the ongoing understandings contribute to consolidating relations between the federal government and the regional government, and advance the efforts made to resolve other outstanding issues.

    Nechirvan Barzani appreciated the role and efforts of the President of the Republic in reaching an agreement on the issue of salaries, and his constant endeavor to bring viewpoints closer between the political forces, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among all political forces to protect security and stability in the country, and to support construction and reconstruction efforts and implement the ministerial program of the federal government in a way that achieves Social Justice.
