Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari revealed on Monday the details of bilateral talks he held with senior officials in Kuwait.
Al-Shammari had paid an official visit to the State of Kuwait, which he arrived in yesterday, Sunday, during which he met with the Emir of the State of Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior, and other officials.
Al-Shammari said in press statements that he discussed with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Fahd Yousef Saud, ways to strengthen relations and expand the horizons of security cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
He added that he also discussed security coordination and the exchange of information to confront all types of smuggling and infiltration through joint border crossings, in addition to steps to combat drugs and dry up their sources. The
Iraqi Interior Minister indicated that "the meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart also witnessed discussions on facilitating the granting of entry visas for Iraqis to Kuwait."
