    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The head of the Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, confirmed today, Tuesday (August 13, 2024), that administrative and financial corruption has exhausted state institutions and delayed them from performing their duties.
Hanoun said in a joint conference with the head of the Communications and Media Commission, Ali Al-Muayyad, which was followed by "Baghdad Today", that "there is no sympathy for the corrupt and we are surprised by the behavior of those who defend him," noting that "the religious authority has set a penetrating vision to combat corruption, but we have neglected this step."
He added, "Everyone must abide by the provisions of the Constitution and its texts that prohibit corruption within institutions," indicating that "we support government institutions that are subjected to pressure for personal gains."
Hanoun continued: "Administrative and financial corruption has exhausted state institutions and delayed them from performing their duties," stressing that "work must be twinned between the Integrity Commission and the Media and Communications Commission."
He pointed out that "jumping over the constitution is part of corruption, corruption began when we accepted jumping over the texts of the constitution," noting that "our work with the Communications and Media Commission will be in a twinning manner to reach the facts and achieve the goals to overcome the failures caused by corruption."
