    An informed source revealed, today, Sunday (October 20, 2024), the content of an unannounced American message to Baghdad that arrived four days ago.
    The source told Baghdad Today, "An American official stated in an unannounced meeting with an Iraqi official four days ago that Washington does not want him to be a party to the Middle East conflict and is pressuring him not to be directly targeted by Israel."
    He added, "The American official made it clear in an important sentence of three words that Baghdad will not be targeted," in a clear indication that there is knowledge of the general plan for the nature of the entity's response to Iran, which may include other countries under the pretext of having allies from factions and others."
    The source concluded his statement by pointing out that "the US administration is keen to maintain the truce with the Iraqi factions and not target any of their bases or interests, and it is exerting pressure in this direction."
    An informed source revealed the content of an Iranian response via Iraqi mediators regarding an American message .
    The source told Baghdad Today on Sunday (October 6, 2024), "The United States is indeed concerned about developments in the regional scene and the possibility of an open war that would threaten its interests in a region rich in energy resources," stressing that "Washington was surprised by the Iranian response through the use of hypersonic missiles, contrary to what was expected, drones and ballistic missiles that can be easily shot down before they reach Tel Aviv ."
    He added, "America, through Iraqi political elites playing the role of an undeclared mediator, sent a message to Tehran on Friday evening after the Iranian leader's sermon, which included axes focused on calming down and that it does not want a direct war with it and will try to pressure Tel Aviv in order to avoid any response that leads to a comprehensive war ."
    The source pointed out that "the Iranian response was surprising to Washington and was summed up in three words: 'We will respond, we will respond, we will respond' to any attack, and in a double manner ."
    He explained that "America thought at first glance that the loss of Nasrallah would lead Iran to make decisions to retreat, but what happened was contrary to expectations, especially with the Iranian leader's sermon, which carried three meanings: to continue to the end of the confrontation, whatever the consequences, and to emphasize that any strike will be responded to with a stronger one, in addition to the factions' threat to deprive the energy market of 12 million barrels, which represents the greatest source of American and Gulf concern at the same time."
