Twilight News / Daily Telegraph newspaper published a report about it, Robert Mandik, for the Iraqis tried to sue the British Army on charges of illegally detained and mistreated.
He says that the Supreme Court decided to reject the claims made by more than 600 Iraqis against British forces in Iraq.
The court decided that the plaintiffs waited too long to bring claims against the Ministry of Defence, on the violation of their rights at the hands of British troops during the Iraq war.
Mandik adds that the British Ministry of Defence so far paid compensation worth 20 million pounds, in 324 case filed against it in the courts.
The court said in its decision that it rejected the lawsuits because of the expiration of the period of time according to the Iraqi law, which defines the term litigation to 3 years.
But the law firm that defends the Iraqis said they would raise two other cases in the future will be presented to the Court a legal justification for the delay in raising them.
