Obama 'ignoring basic law enforcement' - wow, tells it like it is

'It seems like even the attack in Orlando hasn't changed anything'

    Published: 23 hours ago

Newly retired Department of Homeland Security agent Philip Haney says the Obama administration has failed to do even “Level One” policing to prevent terrorist attacks.

In an interview with WND, the veteran analyst and a former member of one of the National Targeting Center’s advanced units said it “seems like even the terrorist attack in Orlando hasn’t changed anything.”

“I wish that it would,” he said. “People have the saying ‘enough is enough,’ but it doesn’t seem like we’ve gotten to that point yet. I don’t know how to quantify what enough is. So far, no matter what happens, it hasn’t shifted.”

He said the press conferences regarding the attack were no different than any other.

“It might as well have been a clone. Just pull it off the shelf and plug in the tape,” he said.

Has our own government already surrendered to Islamic jihad? A national security insider uncovers the terrible truth. Philip Haney’s “See Something, Say Nothing” is available now from the WND Superstore.

In 2011, Haney helped develop a case on an Islamic movement known as Tablighi Jamaat. The case found connections between members of the movement and notorious terrorist organizations such as Hamas and al-Qaida. Using open source intelligence, Haney, now retired, was able to determine the mosque where Orlando shooter Omar Mir Siddique Mateen worshiped is connected to a madrassa that was heavily implicated in Haney’s case.

Haney’s case was eventually shut down by the federal government. The Obama administration also ordered the deletion of dozens of records after the State Department and the DHS’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Office decided Muslims were being unfairly singled out. Haney believes if the case had not been shut down, the San Bernardino shooting last December may have been prevented. He tells the story in his new book, “See Something, Say Nothing,” now the No. 1 new release on the subject of terrorism at Amazon.com.

    ‘Disinformation’

Haney reacted strongly to the revelation the shooter in Orlando was a longtime employee of a federal contractor. He decried the government’s inability or unwillingness to perform even basic tasks of intelligence gathering.

“The level of disinformation the Obama administration is providing is astonishing to me considering it only took me three or four hours to do what I call the first-level analysis to connect the dots between the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce all the way to the case I worked at NTC (the National Targeting Center),” Haney said.

“I’m not claiming this kind of work would have prevented the attack,” he said. “What I’m claiming is something even more fundamental than that. We’re not even doing the first-level law enforcement analysis of these organizations and individuals that would give us the foundation to allow us to determine what threat these groups pose. We’re not doing that. The administration is not even doing basic law enforcement.”

Haney also alleged the Department of Homeland Security is consulting with and being advised by some of the very people who need to be investigated for ties to terrorism.

“The Department of Homeland Security, specifically the Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, has appointed well-known individuals affiliated with Muslim Brotherhood front groups since at least 2008,” Haney charged. “The macro answer is DHS has been infiltrated by Islamic extremists. That’s why I was in such an adversarial relationship with the Obama administration, because I had the audacity to keep pointing out these people are not our friends. You shouldn’t be bringing them into the law enforcement arena, allowing them to look over our shoulders at what we’re doing, and then giving them the authority to create, implement and enforce both domestic and foreign policy. Which is exactly what they did.”

Haney identified the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim American Society and the Muslim Students of America as among the problematic groups.

“In particular, MPAC has been the most consistent liaison between the federal government and the Muslim community,” Haney said. “And MPAC derives right out of the work of two brothers that were self-avowed members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Hathout brothers. Out of the organization they formed, MPAC came out. And they have been the most consistent group meeting with DHS.”

    United by Shariah

What unites all of these groups, claims Haney, is their determination to impose Islamic law, or Shariah.

“Shariah is the gravitational force of the entire global Islamic community,” he argued. “It’s like the sun in the solar system. Every planet revolves around the sun. Distinctions between the different planets are secondary to how they all orbit the sun. In the global Islamic movement, Shariah is the thing they all agree on. There is no controversy between any of the groups anywhere in the world on their one stated strategy, which is the implementation of Shariah law. The disconnections, and the conflicts and arguments are simply tactical.

“ISIS is a Godzilla. It stomps on buildings and eats trains for lunch. Muslim Brotherhood front groups are the snake under the door,” he said. “They slither in and bite you under the foot. In both cases, you’re dead. But then it turns out they’re working for the same team. The global Islamic movement, the global Islamic network, is not just ISIS. There are other components to the network. All of them interact and have an effect on each other.”

Haney pointed to a speech given by Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar at an Orlando mosque in 2013 that called for homosexuals to be given the death penalty. Haney argued the culture clash between Muslims who want Shariah law and Westerners who favor individual rights will not be easily solved and more terrorist attacks seem likely.

“The Quran is very explicit about homosexuality, very plain spoken,” he said. “Then comes the Hadith, the sayings and actions of Muhammad, equally explicit. Then comes all of that being put together into Shariah law, also, very clear against you. Then you have tradition, the cultural traditions that are woven into these three main sources. They’re woven altogether with various changes depending on what part of the world you are in. Nonetheless, it is well established in the global Islamic movement that homosexuality is prohibited. Violently so, in many cases. As we see when gays are thrown off buildings or the various other forms of persecution we see throughout the Islamic world.

“What happened in America is a unique event considering its location and time and the number of people that were called. But in a macro sense, it is not unique. As they long as they feel they have the arena to operate in, they will keep pushing. They will not stop, because their religion does not allow them to.”
