    Signed the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, on Friday, a contract with the company (Global) Alamartah Canadian maritime transport for thetransport of goods to Iraq for a period of ten years at a cost of $ 500 million, as thecompany pointed out that the contract will be carried out the transfer of 1000 container, it revealed that theagreement includes the maintenance and rehabilitation of the railway . 
    the representative of the company (Global) Alamartah Canadian Saad Al - Hamad said in an interview to the(long - Presse), on the sidelines of the signing of the Ministry of transport signed a contract with the company to transport goods from all over the world, " the company signed today a contract with the General Company for Maritime transport of the Ministry of transport Iraqi transport cargo and containers from around the world for ten years worth of 500 million dollars. " 
    He added praise, that" the contract will inaugurate the transfer of 1,000 containers , "he said , adding that" the contract includes the maintenance and rehabilitation of the railway networks, because they are not eligible for the transfer of cargo and containers. " 
    from for his part , representative of the Minister of transport ethyl Abdul Ali said in an interview with (long -Presse) that " the great benefit contract because Iraq is far from this area for more than 20 years and we arenow outside the subject of maritime transport due to circumstances experienced by the country and the wars suffered by Iraq and also because of the damage suffered Bboakhar maritime transport , "noting that" thestate does not have the potential to re - operational personnel for passenger ships. " 
    He added that" the General Company for Maritime transport began to regain their health through continuous planning and disperse them to build new ships , four of which will enter service in the coming period , but despite this is is not sufficient for the import needs of the country from the ration card items and the rest ofother goods , "noting that" this matter has led to the direction of the ministry to enter into this area in order to reduce transport fares on the citizen , which will contribute to reducing the cost of goods , especially in theimports of the domestic market " in 
      turn , said transportation Director marine Abdul Karim Knhl that "we have factors supporting the national Maritime carrier and help him to be a competitor for companies to transport goods to government ministries ," noting that " the ministry dealing with a national insurance company and get subsidized by the Ministry of oil fuel, as well as support for Iraqi ports, and these factors Atjalna losers. " 
    He added Knhl that" the company can supplement the budget by 45% of its will for there to be economic support to the country. " 
    It is said that the national carrier stopped in Iraq in 1985 because of the war against Iran project.
