    Shafaq News / Dutch government decided to return 1500 Iraqi families forcibly, in coordination with the government in Baghdad.

     “Amsterdam returned 1500 Iraqi families to their country to implement what was agreed upon between the Governments of the two countries,” An official of the International Federation of Iraqi refugees in Kurdistan Region, Amanj Abdullah said in a statement reported for “Shafaq News”.

    The United Nations said in its latest report that the number of refugees reached around the world to 7.6 million refugees, the highest rate since 1994, while mentioned that five countries topped the largest proportion in the number of its refugees from Iraq

    He added that an Iraqi delegation headed by the Minister of Displacement and Migration in Iraq , Dindar Dosky recently visited the Netherlands and Amsterdam and discussed the implementation of the agreement, which was signed between the two sides, which stipulates the need to return Iraqi families living in the Netherlands to their country”.

    He added that the federation tried repeatedly to pressure the Iraqi government to reverse its decision to the return of Iraqi refugees in some European countries forcibly, but it did not succeed

    Abdullah said that the return of Iraqis in this form does not comply with the human rights principles

    No doubt good planto send them back to a country with no social security benefits and a housing crisis! Unless they are expecting something to change!
