High inflation index rose 0.2% last month

The Ministry of Planning, on Wednesday , rising inflation index for the month of December last in 2016, and reduced the annual inflation rate of 0.7%.
She said the Ministry of Planning, in a statement received (range Press), a copy of it, that " the annual inflation index rose during the month of December last by (0.2%) , " indicating that " the annual inflation index for the duration of the month of December 2015 up to the same month 2016 witnessed a decline (0.7%). "
It said the ministry, in a statement, that " the decline in the annual inflation index was due to lower food and beverage prices of non - alcoholic beverages by (7.1%) and high section housing prices rose 3.5%."
Iraq complains weak financial revenues due to declining oil prices and increased expenses , which the military side came on her head, which made the government resort to austerity as one of the solutions adopted to meet the country 's economic situation started.
