    Hundreds of farmers in the province of Diyala to demand regardless of financial dues for marketing wheat and barley for the past two seasons. They accused the central government and the Ministry of Commerce as "indifference to their demands."

"

" 
    For his part, sub - assemblies Union peasant in Diyala, Commerce Minister promised to pay dues peasants of the province over a maximum period of ten days. Raad Moghames, president of the federation said in a press statement, said that "a delegation representing the demonstration farmers in Diyala , which came out yesterday, met with the governor Muthana al - Tamimi in the governorate building central Baquba , to listen to the demands of the peasants , " adding that "those demands summarized payment of financial dues and distribution of chemical fertilizers ". 
    He Moghames that "Commerce Minister vowed during a telephone conversation with the governor of Diyala to pay the dues of farmers during a maximum period of ten days on a regular mechanics , " pointing out that " the minister promised us to postpone the peaceful sit -in, which was scheduled to be implemented after the demonstrations." 
    For its part , the Ministry of Commerce announced the launch of a new meal of peasants and farmers marketers wheat crop last year dues for 2016, while confirming its quest to end this file and complete the distribution of these receivables. Zuhair al - Ahmed Salman, Director General of Administrative and Financial Department of the Ministry of Commerce (range), "The Ministry of Commerce has launched a new meal of peasants and farmers marketers for wheat crop for 2016 dues, amounting to 475 billion Iraqi dinars , " noting that " the amount will be distributed to peasants marketers and after scrutiny by the Office of financial supervision, according to a plan by the General Company for grain trade and according to special tables developed for this matter. " 
    Salman said that " the Ministry of Commerce has made great efforts in order to close this file and the completion of the distribution of benefits farmers and peasants operations in light of the role played by the agricultural sector in the provision of people 's livelihood and stability of the distribution of food vocabulary and rely on the national product and the face of the financial crisis faced by the country." 
    It is said that the Ministry of Commerce announced, during the past week, the launch of the amount of 425 billion Iraqi dinars, from peasants and farmers entitlements as part of a government program on the operations of the entire marketing wheat crop dues to pay. 
    The Committee on Agriculture and Water and marsh Parliament, announced the approval of the House of Representatives on the bid to host the Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi, a number of ministers to discuss the financial benefits to farmers, as pointed out that the Council will set a date hosting in the coming days. The province of Diyala has marketed during the growing season last approximately 800 thousand tons of wheat and barley crops.
