    Minister of Planning Salman Jumaili discussed on Tuesday with Jordan's Minister of Trade and Industry, Yawar al-Qudhad, increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, stressing the need to rehabilitate the border crossings, including the port of Trebil border.
    "The Minister of Planning / Minister of Commerce Salman Jumaili received in his office the Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the judges and the delegation accompanying him," the ministry said in a statement.
    The statement added that "the meeting was held during the discussion of a number of issues of common concern and ways to develop bilateral relations in the economic, investment and trade fields and promote them between the two countries."
    He explained that "the two sides stressed during the meeting the need to increase the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Jordan through working on the rehabilitation of border crossings, including the port of Rasil border and secure the entry of trucks loaded with goods and goods needed by the Iraqi market.
    He added that "the two sides stressed that the rehabilitation and development and opening of the border port will reflect positively on the economic situation in Iraq in general and areas of Anbar province, in particular through the employment of manpower and move the wheel of the economy," adding that "the two ministers discussed the possibility of establishing areas and squares for commercial exchange between the two countries to facilitate The process of transporting goods and their speed of arrival ".
    Al-Jumaili said, "Iraq seeks to open the horizons of cooperation and openness to strengthen its relations with its regional environment, which has an impact on the reconstruction of the liberated areas that need Arab and regional support to enable Iraq to restore stability and reconstruction of these areas and facilitate the return of displaced persons" .
    He pointed out that "the relationship with the Kingdom of Jordan carries many factors of strength, because of the great common factors between the two countries."
