    Ministry Albeah warned of a 16 million cluster bombs dangerous in Iraqi territory near the villages and towns, demanding organizations specialized assistance to be removed.

    The director of the mine Affairs Department in the Ministry of Environment Isa al-Fayad, on Thursday, that "total cluster Aleghanbl that was thrown at Iraq between 1991-2003 bomb 50 million, including 16 million of them are still dangerous and did not explode.

    He added that "the ministry does not have accurate statistics on the number of existing mines that are spread on the Iraqi border," asserting that "the removal of large areas of these mines in cooperation with international institutions and organizations."

    He Fayad that "Statistics indicate a 5800 injury in Maysan province as a result of mines deployed on the border and 4,700 injured in Dhi Qar province, as well as 4,000 wounded in Wasit province," calling on international organizations specialized assistance for mine clearance, which pose a threat to life.
