Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed with the US Congress delegation the latest developments in the war against Da'ash and the support of the United States for Iraq in the war against the organization.
"During his meeting with a delegation from the US Congress led by Rep. Dennis Ross, Abadi discussed with them the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces on a supporter," the media office said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
"The delegation also stressed the continued support of the United States for Iraq in its fight against terrorism," the statement said, adding that the delegation also stressed cooperation in the agricultural sector and in economic fields and supporting private sector partnerships in both countries.
The United States is involved in the war against an organization advocating its leadership of an international coalition of 60 countries, air strikes on the organization in Iraq and Syria, and the United States also has military advisers in some areas of Iraq, tasked with training the armed forces and security forces.
