    The Committee on Agriculture and Marshlands hosted on Monday the Minister of Water Resources Hassan al-Janabi to discuss a number of important files, most notably the Marshlands and the dam of Mosul.
    "The committee hosted, today, the Minister of Water Resources Hassan al-Janabi and a number of general managers," said Fratt al-Tamimi, head of the committee, in a statement received by Mawazine News.

    Al-Tamimi stressed that "the work of the company is proceeding smoothly and there are no problems and work is continuing well and using modern and sophisticated methods." He pointed to "discussing the issue of negotiating with neighboring countries and the results of the minister's visit to Turkey and the Elissu Dam issue."
    He also said that the ministry discussed the ministry's recent measures on the issue of Kifl Shinafiyah and specifically the removal of the Sea of ​​Najaf and preparations for the next summer plan for Diwaniyah, Najaf and Samawah governorates.
    The Chairman of the Committee, "the importance of the marshes and how to promote this important aspect of its economic returns to the country."
    As for the flood wave coming from the upper Zab, Minister al-Janabi explained that it "does not affect the capital Baghdad, but rather its impact on the transgressors on the Tigris river basin at the top of the front of the Samara and Shroukat".
