    Foreign Ministry announced Thursday, the election of Iraq as an alternate member of the Governing Body of the International Labor Organization ( ( ILO ) ) for the period of 2017-2020 for West Asia group.

    According to a ministry statement received / information /, a copy of it, that "Aerqa was elected as an alternate member of the Governing Body of the International Labor Organization of the ( ( ILO ) ) for the period of 2017-2020 for West Asia group subsidiary during the elections that took place during the work of the session 106 of the International Labor Conference in the organization 's headquarters in Geneva. "

    The statement added that "Iraq 210 votes out of 253 votes, noting that the number of votes required for the complex is 127, which makes Iraq a second group of ( ASPAG )".

    The statement noted that "this win as part of the intensive efforts exerted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in mobilizing support and international support to restore Iraq to its leading position in the international community and obtaining advanced sites in the United Nations and specialized agencies."
