He stressed the World Bank report for the spring of 2017 issued entitled "Observatory of Economic Jordan: Promoting green economy" that the Jordanian economy is still experiencing slow growth, noting that economic growth has slowed the year 2016 for the second consecutive year, reaching 2.0% compared to 2.4% year 2015, which led to Tbaeidh more about its potential, which is less than the rate of 2.7% for the Middle East and North Africa.

According to the report, this slowdown is due largely to the weakness of the mining and quarrying sector partly associated with lower global potash prices, as growth influenced by a range of factors associated with the repercussions of the Syrian crisis, in particular the closure of export routes to Iraq and Syria, and the decline in tourism amid regional instability, despite from the recovery of the construction sector by 2016, while the sectors that contributed most of the overall growth in 2016, was the financial and insurance services, transportation, storage, communications and real estate activities.
