A diplomatic meeting in Cairo to discuss the consequences of the Gulf crisis

Saudi Arabia and its allies hold a meeting in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Wednesday to make a decision on future steps towards Qatar, which considered that the list of demands boycott it states to end the diplomatic crisis "is unrealistic."

The meeting starts at one pm local time, between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt. The meeting came a day after Saudi Arabia announced that the four countries received the official Qatari response to conditions to restore relations with the gas-rich emirate.

On the fifth of June, these countries severed ties in Qatar and imposed economic sanctions, accusing Doha support groups "terrorist" and taking them rapprochement with Iran. But Doha, which includes the largest US air base in the Middle East, has repeatedly denied accusations of supporting terrorism.
