Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parlaimentary Media and Culture Committee ruled out “The endorsement of the Official Holidays law by the current parliament due to the disputes.”
Member of the Committee, MP, Muayad al-Tayib, stated to IraqiNews.com “This law is among the disputed law drafts.”
“There are disputes over which day is suitable to be considered as a national day for all Iraqis so it is not easy to endorse this law,” he added.
“Though it is difficult, we still hope to endorse it by the current Parlaimentary rotation,” he concluded.
