Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said there was no room for negotiations with Qatar to find a solution to the diplomatic crisis with the Gulf countries.
Al-Jubair told a news conference in Rome on Friday: "There is no room for negotiations with Qatar because it is not about negotiations, but on the issue of whether there is support for terrorism or not," he said.
"Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE have clear principles that must be implemented, to stop supporting or financing terrorism, to provide shelter to terrorists and to stop the rhetoric of hatred," Al-Jubeir, who arrived in Rome this morning for a few hours visit, said.
The head of Saudi diplomacy said that "eight of the requests submitted on June 13 to Qatar to resolve the crisis, already accepted by Doha in 2014, but never implemented," he said.
On the relations with Tehran, al-Jubeir said that "Iran interferes in the internal affairs of other countries, fuels sectarianism, supports terrorism and cultivates its cells in other countries in the region, sends the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to Syria, Iraq and Yemen, Region".
On June 5, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut ties with Qatar on the grounds of "supporting terrorism," which Doha denied, saying it faced a "campaign of fabrications and lies."
On the 22nd of the same month, the four countries submitted to Qatar through Kuwait a list of 13 demands to restore relations with Doha, including the closure of Al Jazeera, in what Doha described as "not realistic, balanced, illogical and unworkable."
