A security source at the Baghdad International Airport arrested a woman who killed her husband and was trying to escape to Turkey, a security source said.
Police took the fatal woman, the mother of three children, without confirming what her children were with her, to a detention center at the airport for delivery to the anti-crime office.
The killer, Sabreen, stabbed her husband, Haidar al-Ghazi, with a knife and ended his life, then ran away with a taxi waiting for her outside the house.
The horrific crime took place in their home on Al Falah Street, where the victims' families said that the woman had stabbed their son from the side of the heart with a deep wound that left her alive before she fled with a taxi waiting for her at the end of the alley, indicating that other people were with her at the moment of the crime.
According to local residents, the victim's family tried to burn down the family of the wife's wife, and demanded that the judicial authorities impose the most severe sanctions on their son's wife.
