Vanguardia newspaper reported the dramatic details of the death of a man whose body was found in a car that raided two policemen in Barcelona shortly after a truck attack on a crowd on Rampa Street in central Catalunya on Thursday .
The man was sitting next to the driver, a Spanish citizen and the owner of the white Ford Focus, who ran over the police on the outskirts of Barcelona .
She added that the man was not shot dead by security men, but was killed by an unknown man.
The Spanish authorities announced that the driver was killed in an exchange of fire with police, and later added that the man was not linked to the terrorist operation in the center of the city.
