Transport Minister Kazem Vajan al-Yamami announced Saturday the opening of three airlines to Moscow, Kuwait and Tehran.
"The agreement between the Iraqi civil aviation and civil aviation to resume the resumption of flights between Baghdad and Moscow after a break of about 13 years," said Hammami, in a statement received by the «Journal News», that "this important line will allow civil aviation Iraqi entry into European airspace and opens the prospects for the Iraqi traveler in the areas of trade, tourism, work and treatment.
He added that "another air line will be launched from Basra airport towards Kuwait City in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and facilitating the movement of passengers between the two countries, especially with the coming season of millions."
The Minister of Transport pointed out that "the opening of another air line from Basra International Airport towards the Iranian city of Tehran to satisfy the desire of travelers southern provinces towards the Islamic Republic of Iran," adding that "discussions are underway with several countries to open prospects for Iraqi civil aviation to reach the capitals of the world" .
