Iran's Chief of Staff: Coordination with US warships is ridiculous

    05/09/2017

The head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Baqari, said that coordination with US warships is ridiculous for Iran. He wondered if there would be an incident involving Iranian oil platforms in the Persian Gulf.
Major General Bagheri said  in a speech at the Human Rights Forum of the Armed Forces on Tuesday  that what is prevalent in the rules of international law is the demand of the five major world powers, the first injustice against the weak countries and the third world.
He said that concern for the territorial sovereignty of countries, non-interference in their internal affairs, respect for their sovereignty and lack of support for terrorism are among the important principles of international law. "Unfortunately, the big and powerful countries declare these rules every day in their media.
Major General Bagheri referred to the wars in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Bahrain and Myanmar issues, and said: "Are the major powers taking into consideration in these countries the international principles and rules that are respected and agreed by the countries of the world?"
He pointed to the war waged by the former Iraqi regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the eighties of the last century, adding that it was in accordance with the law of the appointment of the border point between Iran and Iraq, but Iraq launched aggression against Iran for no reason, and the question here is whether these countries condemned Iraq or Did you support him seriously? We have seen the powerful states supply Iraq with chemical bombs.
Major General Bagheri said that at present, we are facing a double injustice in the field of defense in the field of international rights, adding that defense rights experts should exert their utmost efforts to fulfill Iran's rights in this sector.
He stressed that Iran as an independent country is taking all measures in accordance with international laws to defend itself and its borders. "We are now facing various kinds of military threats, as the enemies seek to implement them against Iran at this stage."
He stressed that we have to follow up our rights in various dimensions and said that the arrogant apparatuses caused the recent noise in the Persian Gulf that the pieces of Iranian ships arrived several hundred meters from US warships and provided the ground for the engagement.
He added that according to the coastal rules, the Persian Gulf is a right for Iran and it has to defend its interests. "Unfortunately, the US came from the other side of the world to the Persian Gulf and devoted itself to special rights and says that Iran wants to approach us. American warships) and that they (Iran) must coordinate with us, which is in fact an arbitrary demand and a double injustice in international rights.
The issue of coordination with US warships is ironic for Iran, he said. If an Iranian terrorist incident occurred in the Persian Gulf, would foreign warships take responsibility? Can the Iranian people ask foreigners to provide security for oil platforms? .
The head of the general staff of the armed forces said that according to the international laws in airspace, Iran coordinates its air borders with ICAO. "If an attacker enters Iran's air space, the air defense headquarters will send the warning to it quickly, but unfortunately the arrogant countries raise the noise that Iran warned US aircraft, but the enemies should know that warning the attackers is the least warning by Iran.
