Minister of Industry arrives in Jordan to discuss joint cooperation and investment promotion

The Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammed Shaia al-Sudani arrived Sunday in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss boosting economic and trade cooperation and boosting joint investments between Baghdad and Amman.
The ministry said in a statement received by "Iraq News" that "the Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani went to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at the head of a large official delegation included the Undersecretary for Planning Affairs Mohammad Hashim Abdul Majid, Director General of the General Directorate for Industrial Development and representatives of the Ministries of Commerce, Social affairs and a number of officials in the ministry on a three-day official visit to discuss ways and mechanisms to expand relations of cooperation and partnership and investment opportunities between Iraq and Jordan. "
The minister was received by Jordan's Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yabar al-Qudah and Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia al-Suhail and a number of officials in the Jordanian government.
The Director of the Media and Public Relations Center in the Ministry, Luai Al-Waeli, said: "This visit comes to follow up the results of the 27-session meetings of the Iraqi-Jordanian Joint Committee held in Baghdad for the period 19-20 of last March to discuss the strengthening of economic and trade relations Obstacles that hinder the movement of trade exchange between the two brotherly countries. "
He pointed out that "the minister stressed the direction and keenness of the Iraqi government to deepen bilateral relations and improve the level of economic and trade cooperation with Arab and regional and foreign countries to contribute to the rehabilitation and development of the country's infrastructure and the implementation of vital projects and strategic development of Iraqi capabilities."
Waeli said that "the minister and the delegation accompanying him will hold several bilateral meetings and discussions with the officials of the Jordanian government on several issues and files that concern and serve the interests of the two brotherly countries." Finished
