    [rtl]Trend Press / Agencies[/rtl]
[rtl]China's largest quality control agency said General Motors and its joint venture in China, Shanghai General Motors, would pull more than 2.5 million cars due to damage to airbag blowing units.[/rtl]

[rtl]The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China said that these cars are equipped with air bag blowing units produced by Japan's troubled Takata Company.[/rtl]

[rtl]Starting October 29, the two companies will withdraw 13,492 imported cars from the Saab and Opel models and will begin on December 29 with the withdrawal of more than 2.51 million Chevorle and Buick cars.[/rtl]

[rtl]The draw, announced by the administration on Friday after a similar pullout last week by Volkswagen and its joint venture in China, involved 4.86 million cars in China due to potential problems with Tacata's airbags.[/rtl]

[rtl]Tacata airbags were connected to 16 people dead and at least 180 wounded worldwide. These airbags are very likely to explode, resulting in splinters.[/rtl]

[rtl]The drawback led to the biggest drawdown in automobile history and the eventual bankruptcy of Japan's Takata Corporation.[/rtl]
