The assassination of Syria's opposition with her daughter in Istanbul

Syrian opposition and journalist Araba Barakat and her daughter Hala Barakat were killed on Friday morning in their apartment in Istanbul in mysterious circumstances, Shatha's sister Araba said on Facebook.
Shatha Barakat, on her Facebook page, said: "The hand of injustice and tyranny assassinated my sister Dr. Araba Barakat and her daughter Hala Barakat in their apartment in Istanbul."
Shatha called her sister, who had been displaced from Syria about 30 years ago.
It is noteworthy that Araba Barakat was a member of the Syrian National Council opposition, which formed after the outbreak of protests in the country in 2011, while her daughter worked a solution in the Syrian opposition media outside the country.
