Iran warns America of the classification of the Revolutionary Guard as a "terrorist"

Iran said Sunday that US bases in the region would be dangerous if Washington imposed new sanctions on Tehran, warning the United States against classifying the Revolutionary Guard as a "terrorist" organization.
"As we have declared in the past, if the new US penal code is approved, this country must move its regional bases beyond the range of 2,000 kilometers of Iranian missiles," Iranian Revolutionary Guards chief Mohammad Ali Jafari was quoted as saying by Iranian media.
"If the reports of the US government's folly regarding the classification of the IRGC as a terrorist organization are correct, the Revolutionary Guard will regard the US military worldwide, especially in the Middle East, in the same barricade as a preacher," Jafari said.
He said the United States would take steps if it believed it could press Iran to negotiate regional issues.
The White House earlier confirmed that US President Donald Trump would announce new US measures in response to Tehran's missile tests and support for "terrorism" and cyber attacks as part of his new strategy to deal with Iran.

Iran said Sunday that US bases in the region would be dangerous if Washington imposed new sanctions on Tehran, warning the United States against classifying the Revolutionary Guard as a "terrorist" organization.
