The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Wednesday that the agreement on Iran's nuclear program is still effective and that all countries must abide by it.
"Iran would have the right to abandon the implementation of the nuclear agreement if the United States imposed sanctions again," Russian Foreign Ministry's director of North American affairs, Georgi Borichenko, told Russian news agency Sputnik.
He added that Moscow stresses that "the agreement must be maintained, and implemented by all parties," stressing that "in our understanding, this agreement is effective and responsive to the interests of all parties."
"Moscow does not understand the interest of the United States in withdrawing from the nuclear agreement," Borichenko said, stressing that such a withdrawal would destabilize the Middle East and affect global stability.
