The Ministry of the Interior has evacuated 2794 foreign nationals for violating the conditions of residency within Iraqi territory during the current year.
The Directorate General of the Directorate of Residence of the Ministry, General Haitham Gharghawi said that "the Directorate, through the teams prepared to follow up and check the identity papers of Arabs and foreigners residing inside the country, has removed more than 1983 foreign workers from the foreign companies operating in the country, as well as 362 foreigners after confirming the Infected with communicable and infectious diseases, and 450 workers in the field of massage shops for violating the conditions of residence.
He stressed that the Directorate imposes fines of up to 100 thousand dinars per person, in addition to the other fines imposed on the company that leaked through the Directorate raised a lawsuit against those companies for prosecution under the Iraqi laws in force and related to this subject to deter other companies that may try to introduce Foreign workers for the purpose of diversion within the country for money.
"The Directorate, in cooperation and coordination with the ministries and other security services, including the Ministry of Labor and the Investment Authority, has determined the percentage of labor entering with foreign companies so as not to exceed 50 percent with the rest of the remaining local labor after confirmation of the validity of the contract between the foreign company and Iraqi parties, Noting that the departments of the General Intelligence and General Intelligence are the two bodies responsible for checking the information of expatriates from foreign workers and verify the safety of their security.
