BAGHDAD / The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers clarified on Monday the decision to extend the period of exemption of taxpayers (individuals, companies, entities) from the fines and the delaying benefits on their debts.

"The Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Economic Affairs Committee on the extension of the exemption period for taxpayers (individuals, companies and entities) of the fines and the delaying benefits due on their debts in favor of the General Authority for Taxes," a statement issued by the secretariat of the cabinet said.

He pointed out that "the principal of the outstanding debt is paid by the end of this year, instead of the period of 90 days mentioned in Council Resolution No. 94 of 2017, based on the provisions of Section 11 of Section 4 of the Financial Management and Public Debt Law No. 95 of 2004, To obtain the interest and the fine of the amount of the outstanding amount, provided that this extension is the last. "

The statement pointed out that "the decision comes to ease the financial pressure temporarily from the beneficiaries of this extension to ensure that they continue to provide services in favor of the year." Finished

    Thanks Rocky.

Interesting.  No taxes due from government employees until the start of next year.
