    Israel Labor Party Chairman Avi Gabbay declared that "Israel" is not a tool for Saudi Arabia.

    "We are not a tool in the hands of Saudi Arabia, and what is happening between them and Lebanon is very worrying. It could lead to deterioration, and Israel finds itself in a war that does not have," he said.

    Saudi Arabia is trying to gain Israeli support in its recent escalation against Lebanon and Hezbollah specifically under the pretext of threatening the security of the region.

    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former US diplomats and officials have warned Israel not to bow to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's desire to launch a "dirty" war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

    The former US diplomat in Tel Aviv, Dan Shapiro, to avoid falling into the trap of Saudi Arabia by pushing the Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, to resign.

    According to Shapiro, the Saudis are based on the assumption that Hezbollah will have to face the political and economic consequences of Hariri's resignation to fight a war against Israel "in order to unite the Lebanese public behind him."
